BYU Game Pictures

BYU Game

I have lived in Utah for 2 and half years and I have never been to a BYU football game. Paul is graduating next August, so this would be my only and last chance of going. This was going to be the last home game and it happened to be the coldest game of all season. My sister in law, Nicole has season tickets for the student section and didn't want to go and offered us the tickets. The only problem was, we didn't want to take Leah in the freezing cold and it was a late game. We asked Nicole if she would watch Leah for us and she said,"okay!" Yay!! Not only did we get to go to the game, but we got a DATE NIGHT! Another awesome bonus was, it was all FREE! Thank you so much Nicole for giving us the tickets and for watching Leah! I guess BYU grounds- keeping didn't have enough time or enough people to help, but they didn't shovel off the snow of the bleacher part of the stadium. So, when we got there, we(meaning Paul) had to shovel the snow off with our shoes. Yeah, that was fun. Paul is a gentleman, there were two girls sitting by us, who didn't have snow shoes and were trying to shovel off the snow, so he offered to shovel some of the snow off for them. He is so thoughtful!

Taylor Swift - The Best Day

' I had the best day with you'

Last Friday, was the anniversary of my mom passing away. I can not believe it was 3 years ago, 3 years ago was the last time I would see my remarkable mother here on earth. My mom passed away from Colon cancer, she wrestle with cancer for 12 and half years. Those 12 half and years were, well I guess you can say it was a roller coaster ride. I was 7 years old when this "ride" started. I have so many memories of my mom being sick, but I love all the good and bad memories we made together. One of my favorite times we had together, was when I had just turned 8 and the movie 'Titanic' came out, so we went to Blockbuster and rented the movie and watched it. I remember it was my first time staying up to midnight and I thought it was the best thing ever. Afterwards, we drove to Blockbuster to return it and that night was a full moon. My mom said,"Look, Jenn, it's a full moon. I want you to remember this for the rest of your life." I think she wanted us to make memories and for me to remember them, that way I would remember the good times of when she was feeling somewhat well. Another memory was when I was a Senior and it was Spring break and during Spring Break was our Stake Trek. My mom and sister wanted to do a girls week during that break, but I wasn't sure if I should go on the trip because the Stake Presidency had a calling for me on the trek and I just had the hardest time deciding on what to do. I had already done a Trek, so I knew it would be okay if I missed it. Anyway, I deiced to go on the girls trip. I am so happy that I went on that trip. We had so much fun, we went to a beach in Malibu, got a manicure and pedicure, went to the Ronald Reagan Museum and do what the Haughts' do best, eat! My favorite time we had together, was when Twilight came out. All of the young women and women in the ward went to the midnight showing if Twilight. Lets just say, my mom and I LOVED it! We saw Twilight 10 TIMES in theater! One of those times, we lied to my dad and told him we were going shopping, because he said Twilight is of Satan! Haha! But, we did tell him the truth after we got back:) My mom and I made the mistake of taking him one of those 10 times, yeah, that was a MISTAKE! My dad hates ANYTHING that is not true. My dad actually walked out of the movie and waited for us in the hall. My mother and I were best of friends. My brother and his wife told their kids they were going to Grandma Haught's house and that I would be there, my nephew and niece then said,"Isn't Jenn, Grandma's friend? I hope some day, I can have that type of relationship with my own daughters. I wish everyday that my mom was still here and she could see Leah. I know she would just eat her up. Sometimes it makes me mad that she can't buy her cute clothes, snuggle and hug on her. I have a hard time not envying those girls who go shopping with their mom or their mom's being there when they have a baby. But, I have a GREAT mother- in-law who is super helpful, she came and helped me after I had Leah, has watched Leah on many, many occasions so Paul and I could go on a dates. Renee is a wonderful grandma to Leah, buying her cute clothes from to time, kissing on her,EVERYTHING!I am so bless that Leah has her:) 'I had the best day with you' by Taylor Swift reminds me of my mom and I.

Swiss Days

Summer Pics

Where has the time gone?

Wow!! It has been almost a whole year since I have updated my blog. I told myself I would update the blog every week, well yeah.. that didn't happen. I am going to put some pictures up of what we have been up to this past summer.Speaking of summer, where did the summer go? This summer has been pretty busy. We moved to Washington again, so Paul could work for the Adams County Mosquito Control and also for his dad. Paul's dad has a landscaping business that he has on the side and needed Pauls help. Let's just say that Paul never had much time to 'play' since he was working 14 hours a day! I am so bless to be married to a hard working man:} I love you Paul! You may be asking what did Leah and I do every day while Paul was out working in the sun? We either went for run/ walk with Molly Beus{she has a daughter who is 4 months older then Leah, we had fun getting together},I had my mother in law teach me how to can green beans and reteach me how to make freezer jam. At the end of June my family had a family reunion. We weren't going to go since it would be a 2 day drive there and another 2 days back and Paul couldn't take any days off of work. My awesome sister, called me one day and said,"Hey why don't you fly out to Cali for a few days and then we can leave for the reunion and I will buy your plane ticket." How could I turn down spending time with my sister and being with my family. It was a much needed time with my older sister and talking about our wonderful mother and just talking about every day things. I should of mentioned that Tasha and I were driving down to the reunion without our husbands,{Leland at the time was finishing up Officer Training for the Army and Paul was working}we had 4 kids under the age of 3 in the van, needless to say the car ride was quiet and short!jk! I had so much fun being with my family. I forgot how funny my siblings are and when we get together we eat a lot. I love my family! In August Paul's family had a reunion as well. This was my first Jensen reunion. It was nice to get to know more of Paul's siblings and enjoy their company. We had fun playing games, going swimming, and eating:} The only bad part was that Leah was horrible!! One night she cried for 2 and half hours STRAIGHT! This is so unlike her, so we thought she was sick or maybe teething. We took her to the Dr and there was nothing wrong, maybe a cold or just teething. I guess with babies you never know whats wrong with them. Paul and I are back in Provo for school. This past spring Paul has decided that he wants to go to Med. school, so we are here for another year/year and half so he can take some prerequisites for Med. school. So that means he will have a double major and will also have a minor in Korean. I am so proud of Paul, he is always thinking of our little family. This past weekend we went up to Midway{Midway is up Provo Canyon} for the Swiss Days. We had such a great time, that we are making it a family tradition. Paul's second cousin is a famous yodeler and we found out that he was going to be there, we made sure we got some pictures with him. He was AMAZING! I will put up a video of him yodeling.
